In these terms and conditions the following words have the following prescribed meanings: 

A “Discount Code” means a discount code which when entered by an eligible Referral Customer provides 20% off their  first purchase of products on medik8.com;

A “Referral Customer(s)” means a Referrer’s friends or family who has not previously shopped on medik8.com and to whom the Referrer shares their unique link;

The “Referral Link” means the unique referral link we provide to Referrers; 

A “Referral Reward” means one free travel-sized product out of four options available on medik8.com, up to the value of  £19; and 

A “Referrer(s)” means a registered Medik8 customer.

For the Referrer

How Referrers can earn Referral Rewards

- Share the Referral Link with eligible Referral Customers;

- Eligible Referral Customers must i) click on the Referral Link and ii) place an order on medik8.com;

- Selected Referral Rewards will be allocated to Referrers within thirty (30) days of completion of a Referral Customer purchase; 

- Referrers can refer as many Referral Customers as they like; 

- If Referral Customers make multiple cancellations we may disqualify the Referrer from the program; 

- Referrers only earn one Referral Reward per eligible Referral Customer that clicks on the Referral Link and place an order on medik8.com;

- Referrers receive their selected Referral Reward with their next order with no minimum spend. 

For the Referral Customer

How Referral Customers get the Discount Code 

- To be eligible to participate, Referral Customers must be new customers (this means they cannot have an existing http://medik8.com account or have previously had an account under an alternate email address or alias);

- Click on the Referral Link and place an order on medik8.com during the same session;

- The Discount Code will be applied to the Referral Customer’s first order and is valid for a one-time use only.

This program is only valid and open to:

- United Kingdom residents who are at least eighteen years old;

- consumers (not businesses); 

- Referrers and Referral Customers who meet the eligibility requirements and accept and comply with the terms and conditions.

This program is not valid or offered to businesses for affiliate lead generation, as determined by our sole discretion. 

In the event a Referral Customer returns a purchased item or cancels an order (in accordance with the terms and conditions of purchase), the Discount Code awarded to the Referral Customer will become invalid and no replacement Discount Code will be provided and the Referral Reward may be invalidated. Discount Codes cannot be claimed by Referrers.

Any misuse of this program, as determined by us in our sole discretion, may result in the invalidation of a Discount Code and/or a Referral Reward and/or disqualification from the program. 

Medik8 reserves the right to review, investigate, and disqualify any Discount that violates the spirit of the Refer-a-Friend Program, such as attempting to gain a Discount through self-referral by using a different email address, or distributing a Referral Link via commercial advertising or spam. Medik8 may delay any Discount for the purposes of investigation and may refuse to verify and process any transaction for any reason. If you cancel your order, the Discount may no longer be valid or may be withdrawn.

Referrers should only invite a friend or family member after receiving prior permission from the Referred Customer to send, or have Medik8 send, an email with the Referral Link to them. Referrers must comply with all up-to-date “SPAM” laws and marketing regulations, which may include the laws where the intended Referred Customers live. For example, emails must be created and distributed in a personal manner and bulk email distribution is prohibited. Any distribution of the Referral Link that could constitute unsolicited commercial email or "spam" under any applicable law or regulation is expressly prohibited and will be grounds for immediate termination of your account and exclusion from Medik8’s Refer-a-Friend Program. We'll be watching for spammers so please be kind and only share with people you know.

Medik8 automatically disqualifies suspicious referrals. If you are a Referrer and someone you referred made their first purchase using your Referral Link and you didn’t receive a Discount, your referral might have been flagged as suspicious. Just shoot us an hello@medik8.com and we'll sort it out for you.

Discount Codes and Referral Rewards are  non-transferable, not valid for cash or cash equivalent.  Where applicable other discount codes cannot be redeemed with a Discount Code in the same transaction. Where applicable other rewards cannot be redeemed with a Referral Reward in the same transaction.

Discount Codes may only be redeemed against products purchased on medik8.com and may not be applied to any prior purchases, taxes, shipping and delivery charges.

Discount codes cannot be used on any travel sized products, the r-Retinoate range, accessories,  pre-built sets, kits or bundled products, or towards the purchase of gift cards.

Upon termination of the program or any portion thereof for any reason, or upon cancellation of a customer's account for any reason, any unredeemed Referral Rewards and or Discount Codes accumulated may be forfeited at our sole discretion. 

Any personal information collected, processed, and used as part of this program, including that of the Referrer and Referral Customer, will be used in accordance with Medik8’s Privacy Policy.

Referrers may receive emails confirming when they become eligible for Referral Rewards. By clicking on a Referral Link, the Referral Customer acknowledges that some of their personal information may be sent to the Referrer who provided the Referral Link as confirmation of the Referral Customer making a purchase. Accordingly Referral Customers should only use a Referral Link that they receive from someone whom they personally know and trust. 

We reserve the right at our sole discretion to disqualify from the program and or close the account(s) of any Referrer and/or Referral Customer if the Referrer and/or Referral Customer:

- attempts to use this program in a unreasonable manner (as determined in our sole discretion);

- breaches any of these Terms & Conditions;

- is tampering with the operation of this program;

- is in violation of any law, statute or governmental regulation or third party rights.

Upon disqualification from the program or closure of a customer's account for any reason, any unredeemed Referral Rewards and or Discount Codes may be forfeited at our sole discretion. All of our decisions are final and binding, including, without limitation, decisions as to whether a Referral Customer is eligible for a Discount Code or a Referrer is eligible for a Referral Reward.

We reserve the right to cancel this program or to change these Terms & Conditions at any time at our  sole discretion. However, it will not affect the usage of any existing eligible Discount Code or Referral Rewards.

We are not responsible for errors, omissions, malfunctions, interruptions, corruption, deletions, delays or failures of operations or the software providing this program.  

Bulk email distribution, distribution to strangers, or any other promotion of a Referral Link in a manner that would constitute or appear to constitute as an unsolicited commercial email or "spam", in our sole discretion, is expressly prohibited and may be grounds for immediate termination of the Referrer's account and deactivation of the Referral Link.

You indemnify us for any claims or legal proceedings that may be brought against us and for any loss or damage we may suffer or incur as a result of your breach of these Terms and Conditions. 

We will not be liable to you for any financial or economic loss or for any consequential or indirect loss such as loss to reputation, lost bargain, lost profit, loss of anticipated savings or lost opportunity arising as a result of or connected with, this program (whether suffered or incurred as a result of our negligence or otherwise) except where such exclusion is prohibited by law in which case it shall not be excluded or limited. Subject to the preceding sentence, our liability to you for all losses in connection with this program is limited to the equivalent monetary value of your eligible Referral Reward or Discount Code. No claim may be brought against us more than 12 months after any claim arose. You agree that the above limitations and exclusions of liability are reasonable. Your statutory rights will not be excluded or limited except to the extent permitted by law.

By entering this program, all participants will be deemed to have read, accepted, and be bound by these Terms and Conditions, Terms of service, and Privacy Policy.

For every successful referral, the Referrer will be eligible for a free travel size product (out of a choice of four products up to the value of £19) with their next order after a 30 day period with no minimum spend and the Referral Customer will receive a 20% off discount code that may be redeemed against their first order.

Anyone with an existing account with Medik8.com is automatically eligible to be enrolled, and new customers will need to create an account in order to be eligible for enrollment.
